Valorie Runs

 Too much disruption to change the actual name of the blog itself, but I have started running. I did start with walking the neighborhood and sometimes breaking into a trot, but the impetus was a string of damp days and realizing that I sit next to a treadmill. Right, sometimes I'm a bit slow.

Anyway, since starting on Ozempic some years ago, I've lost about 100 pounds. Most of that is fat, but lots of muscle too, I'm sure. Sitting while researching was starting to get uncomfortable. Butt bones right on the chair - unpleasant. Running builds muscle, and is faster than walking, so—even though I'm the slowest runner around. 

Started running early November 2024 with a lap (1/4 mile) then 2 laps, and so on, at about 2 miles per hour, as I recall. Not every single day, but I tried to do at least 4 or 5 days per week. I was going to post screen shots of the summary that the treadmill does, but then Google Photos deleted most of the album. 

Two months later, I'm up to 2 1/4 miles at 3mph most days - only a mile plus today tho. 

My plan is to write here when I feel like it. Gosh, running over 2 miles easily yesterday felt GREAT!
