Couldn't make my 34 minute goal today; feet hurt too much. But that was after cleaning the house. And I ended up with a respectable 9287 total anyway! So, I'll do the 34 mins tomorrow. Also, up to 70 crunches this morning. My little post-it note reminder on my phone is working!
June 23: 9287 (5474), 43 mins. 4.3 miles.
June 22: 6427 (4694), 36 mins. 3.0 miles.
June 21: 9290 (7181), 54 mins. 4.3 miles.
June 20: 6230 (4727), 36 mins. 2.9 miles.
June 19: 8168 (6060), 46 mins. 3.8 miles.
So basically 3 or more miles every day for the past 7 days. Lowest number of steps is 6230, which for so long was my high for the week. And I've cracked 9000 steps, and my feet are OK. Also, I'm inching towards 4 mile days on average.
Ultimately I want 10k "moderate" steps per day -- running for an hour. A few days ago I went up to 2.5 mph on the treadmill. Not sure how much faster I can bump that and remain injury-free. My best day this week I had 7181 moderate steps, so I know this goal is achievable. It would be great to be able to do it all at once though! That will take awhile.

Weeeee, bumped up to 2.4 mph, for 27 minutes + update
Gah, I see that during the #comcastfail this blog didn't publish. So I'll just add to the top.
First, new shoes! #asicshoes are working out well. Kudos to Road Runner Sports for such good service. They analyzed my feet, my gait, made a custom insole (which I purchased; arch support is great!) and chose three great shoes for me to try on. Too bad the snazzy red ones didn't fit perfectly, but the less-snazzy Asics are good.
Next: first time running a whole half-hour! WOOOOOO! And I still feel great.
Finally, up to 60 crunches today. I hope I can remember to make this a habit on waking, because it is a great way to start the day.
Also it looks like I'm down to 227 pounds.
June 19: 8094 (6060), 46 mins. 3.8 miles.
June 18: 8399 (5392), 42 mins. 3.9 miles.
June 17: 8419 (5869), 44 mins. 3.9 miles
Yesterday I shorted myself a bit because there wasn't time before dinner to finish my run. And yet it was a good day anyway, and today was super-busy, and good as well!
Also yesterday began with 50 crunches, which I forgot to do today. Gonna try to add that to my routine, and get that up to 100 again.
June 16: 7332 (3719), 29 mins. 3.4 miles. First day at 2.4 mph.
June 15: 7249 (5198), 40 mins. 3.4 miles. Brewfest day.
June 14: 6751 (3248), 29 mins. 3.1 miles.
June 13: 8114 (6061), 48 mins. 3.8 miles.

Still running, approaching a half hour!
Can't recall when I last wrote, so here goes:
Friday, June 13: 8107 (6061) 48 mins. 3.8 miles
June 12: 6206 (4346), 35 mins. 2.9 miles
June 11: 8265 (5429), 45 mins.3.9 miles

June 9: 4636 (1787), 15 mins. 2.1 miles
June 8: 4697 (2938), 23 mins. 2.2 miles
June 7: 7805 (5274), 42 mins. 3.6 miles
June 6: (3079), 25 mins. 2.2 miles
Felt shitty one day, not so much physically, but .... inside. So I took the day off. Didn't seem to stop progress though. Still running at 2.3 mph, and today (the 12th) reached a mile according to the treadmill. I hope to bump it up to 2.4 sometime this next week.

Bit of slacking off, I guess
Not so easy any more. In fact, it is getting to be quite a challenge in the past few days. However, I've not given up, even if I've not made forward progress.
It's after midnight, so this is yesterday and the previous few days. Some will be a repeat, I suppose.

June 4: 4837 (2707), 23 mins. 2.2 miles
June 3: 9014 (6239), 51 mins. 4.2 miles
Hopefully I start feeling more energetic soon. The house is clean today though!

20 mins running today
So, minutes (and steps) continue to climb.
Today: 7382 steps, 4909 moderate. 3.4 miles, in 39 minutes.
Yesterday: 4837 steps, 2707 moderate.2.2 miles, in 23 minutes.
Various aches and pains, but nothing stopping forward progress. Himanshu showed me this link tonight. It's excellent. goodmenproject.com/featured-content/habit-action-list-jvinc/. Thanks!

Eighteen minutes running, baby!
Ran 18 minutes today on the treadmill. And then more at my Dad's making a total of almost 9000 steps today, over 6000 of them "moderate." And over 4 miles! Still inching up to 10k steps, and so far, so good.
Yesterday, not so good, but over all, not bad.
Steps: 8948, 6239 moderate, in 51 minutes, 4.2 miles.
Yesterday: steps: 4624, 1711 moderate, in 14 mins, 2.1 miles. For an "off" day, great!
I didn't feel great, but was able to run anyway. That right there is a win in my book.

Weeeee, another minute, more steps
Today I ran for 17 minutes, and it continues to get easier rather than harder! I'm tempted to run until I'm tired instead of just moving up a minute, but I think it's safer to ramp up slowly. Step meter says: 7296 steps today, 5103 of those "moderate" in 41 mins. 3.4 miles!
Mileage this week, in reverse order: 4.1, 2.2, 3.4, 1.7, 2.5, 1.3, 2.0, 1.6.
Steps this week, in reverse order, moderate in ( ): 7376 (5103), 4846 (2778), 7371 (4886), 3786 (1817), 5386 (2537), 2886 (511), 4431 (2312), 3491 (1637)
I'm not steadily going up in distance each day, but the trend is up, and as long as I can keep taking more steps, and running more, I'm getting where I want to go. I would love to be able to run an hour without stopping, and run at least 5 miles.
I've not given up my long-time dream of climbing Mount Rainier. That sucker is TALL though, and so just getting in shape is not enough. It's the first necessary step, though, and I do not want to give up.
